This is in memory of a friend of mine who died on this day. Though we’d never met (we almost did, but our lines got crossed…), we’d corresponded (best I could figure), over 30 years. This is a very nicely done video done by Paul Helfrich, Bob Terrio, and Rodney Davidson. Great job, guys!

[…] Today marks the 28th anniversary of the death of Jane Roberts, who, along with Rob Butts, compiled the Seth material. I didn’t personally know Jane, though had written to her when I was a kid (and, well, read most of her work). I did know her husband (he had responded to my youthful letters), and we’d corresponded for many years, until his death in 2008. […]

I too feel I know Rob after reading the Seth/Jane books since 1975 which Rob transcribed. Anytime I wrote, Rob replied often with a copy of some artwork.

Dana, Thanks for stopping by!
Nearly every time Rob wrote back, yes, he also had some cool art work he sent with his letters. That was so neat that he took the time to include them, whether photocopied or original. I, too, have been reading their material since the seventies, when I began receiving Prentice Hall flyers in the mail.

Yes, it was amazing how Rob so generously replied to every note, card or letter. One of my most cherished possessions is a folder of everything he sent me. I live in Champaign, IL, and he liked to remind me that he was stationed at the airforce base in
Rantoul, about twenty miles away. Dear Rob defined the word “gracious”.

Today marks four years since the death of a friend of mine, Rob Butts. Unfortuantely, and not for lack of trying, we never physically met–though we did manage to talk on the phone once. We corresponded for over 30 years.
