Even stops my heart when someone swoons over my declaration that I’m a writer, until he either offers to tell me his story about being abused (one I could write for him) or she asks where she can buy my book. Wait, just wait, I’ll tell you in a few MORE years! I’m still a hold out on self-publishing. Not sure if it is a more official validation I’m seeking, money coming my way right off, or I’m simply being a snob. Just the facts.
