I wonder if the woman could be an actress rehearsing what might be an audition that required her to improve or carry a one-sided phone conversation and she was practicing, perhaps, on her way to the audition? I don’t know that there would be any way of confirming this, but I imagine this shot is being filmed on a studio lot where numbers of “passers by” would actually be studio foot traffic, some of whom would be actors on their way somewhere. Can you tell if she is holding, perhaps, scripts?
